Very well written and thoughtful piece. But you leave out three important strategies that would promote the solvency of Socisl Security: 1. Raise the SS tax from 6.2 % to 7.2 % gradually 2. Eliminate the cap on SS tax that is currently $117,000 3. Reduce the COLA on benefits. These , in addition to means testing , would solve the funding problem without raising retirement age based upon what I have read.
